Filmmaker/Photographer Keri Pickett reached out to us to develop a film id in advance of her upcoming film Uncle Roy. Once we had exhausted the obligatory picket fence designs, we moved onto a more filmic approach linking Keri’s experience as an award-winning photographer to her identity as a filmmaker. To this effect, there is a subtle segue embedded in the animation: from a singular (Keri) PICKETT PICTURE call back to her photography, to the plural PICKETT PICTURES and her new identity as a filmmaker. The logo was designed to be a single solid shape with knock out letters so that it can be easily composited over back ground imagery, as in the animation itself.
